About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Apache Kafka to build scalable, high-performance backend solutions for enterprise eCommerce platforms. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience developing backend services that power customer-facing applications and high-volume transaction systems.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
✅ Build and maintain RESTful APIs and Microservices
✅ Develop services for Product Catalog, PLP, PDP, Cart, Checkout, Pricing, Inventory, and Order Management
✅ Implement event-driven architecture using Apache Kafka
✅ Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Frontend teams to deliver high-quality solutions
✅ Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability
✅ Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions
✅ Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve system performance

Required Skills

✔️ 8+ years of experience in Java Backend Development
✔️ Strong expertise in Java (11/17), Spring Boot, and Microservices
✔️ Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka or similar messaging platforms
✔️ Strong knowledge of REST APIs, Distributed Systems, and SQL/NoSQL Databases
✔️ Experience with Git, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes
✔️ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Mandatory eCommerce Experience

Candidates must have hands-on experience with one or more of the following:

• Shopping Cart
• Checkout
• Product Catalog
• Pricing & Promotions
• Inventory Management
• Order Management
